Production

Timberg production processes comply fully with the requirement as prescribes by the South African Bureau of Standards. We control the full process from growing of timber, harvesting, drying, treatment and quality assurance. A fully automated kiln drying facility ensures consistent quality.

The process for manufacturing is as follows:

• Felling, Debarking and Extraction in the plantations
• Sorting and grading according to diameter in the factory receiving yard
• Drying in a computer controlled kiln
• Strength testing with a hydraulic tester
• Pressure Impregnation in a cylinder
• Final Quality assurance at the dispatch year

We have a capacity to produce 5000m3 per5 month. This equates to approximately 20’000 poles of average size.
