Timberg has ongoing technology development initiatives, and through active association with its strategic partners and industry bodies, continues to remain at the forefront of service and quality product delivery. The company is recognised both locally and internationally as a pioneer in manufacturing, distribution and delivery of transmission poles, telephone poles and poles for agricultural applications. To this end, Timberg created a transmission pole range, which is aimed specifically at facilitating rural electrification by lowering the cost of electricity delivery. Timberg has specifically developed tailor made truck trailers with which we can deliver 7, 8 and 9 meter poles in volumes up to 46m3. More recently, in accordance with SABS/SANS specifications, Timberg produces creosote treated transmission and telephone poles with fire retardant agents. The benefits include lowered cost of line maintenance and higher levels of service delivery to end customers in terms of line down time.
